Charles Espey viola bow

Charles Espey is an American master bowmaker in Port Townsend, WA. He studied with Herman Bischofberger and David Saunders in Seattle, and later with Robert Shallock, Matin Devillers, and Stephane Thomachot. He won gold medals at the 1982 VSA competition and the 1993 Kassel International competition. This bow is an excellent example of his work.
