Professional Credentials
I am a trained Waldorf teacher with a lifelong connection to instrumental and vocal music. In 2005, I focused my teaching efforts into violin and viola teaching for the students of the Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School community and the local children and adults of southern Berkshire County.

My studio offers private lessons in violin and viola. Each lesson involves classical note reading and theory lessons and learning traditional tunes by ear. My extensive training and work with the principles of Waldorf Education and Rudolf Steiner's Curative Education inspires an approach that is tailored to each individual student through observation and collaboration. Together as artists, we use the study of an instrument to shape a musical journey of self-expression and personal development.

Teacher Comments:
In addition to private lessons, I also teach and direct groups. The Fiddling Femmes are a group of women students now entering their third year of group lessons in the fiddle tradition. Berkshire Summer Strings is a week-long, outdoor program in July for youth and adults to learn traditional music from professional musicians and teachers. The new Green River Music Club welcomes traditional music players of all ages to gather on the second Saturday of the month at the Simon's Rock campus to play tunes from around the world.
