Raymond Joseph Melanson
Rochester, Massachusetts ano 2008

Ray Melanson is a violin maker living and working in Rochester Massachusetts.  After studying violin repair with Hans Nebel in the 1970s, Ray went to the violin making school in Salt Lake City, where he learned the craft from the late Peter Prier.  After Salt Lake, Ray was violin making instructor at the North Bennet St School in Boston. He taught at Bennet St for 4 years.  He has made hundreds of instruments and has won numerous awards, including Silver medal for tone, and Gold Medal for tone at the Art of Sound Competition.

This cello features amazingly well flamed maple, and a comfortable design that will enable players to get around on the fingerboard.

Price: $36,000
