Stamell Stringed Instruments is a full service violin shop in downtown Amherst, Massachusetts. Our unique shop is dedicated to the needs of violinists, violists, and cellists. Because we specialize only in bowed instruments, we can offer rental instruments that are carefully maintained and well equipped with excellent strings and real horsehair bows. All of our instruments are set up by the master craftsmen in our on-site workshop to assure ease of playing and quality of tone. Our equity purchase program allows you to apply money from your rental fee toward the purchase of any instrument in our shop (excluding consigned instruments.) Equity accrues at 100% of the first year's rental fee (excluding tax and insurance), plus 60% of the second year, plus 20% of each additional year. |

Rental customers can apply one year's equity
only towards any of our already discounted step-up packages.

- Insurance is included in your rental fee, protecting you in case of loss, theft, or damage.
- Broken strings will be replaced free of charge with rental quality strings chosen by Stamell Stringed Instruments. Extra sets of strings of any kind are not included but may be purchased at a discount.
- All of our bows are strung with natural horsehair.
- Our workshop staff carefully prepares each instrument, and is available if your instrument needs adjustment.
- As a rental customer, you receive a 15% discount on strings and accessories, and a 10% discount on Suzuki books, compact discs and cassettes.
- Equity program allows for future discounts on instrument purchases from our shop.
- We ship instruments anywhere in the USA. Please contact us for details.

How to rent instruments from

- Call us toll free at 800.766.0936 and one of our staff members will take your order.
- A MasterCard, Visa or Discover is required for all rentals.
- Once your order is complete, the instrument can be shipped to you (generally 2-3 days).
- Stamell Stringed Instruments often delivers instruments during our frequent visits to area schools. Due to space restrictions, we recommend that you contact us in advance in order to reserve a space.
