Pierre Pacherel

This violin, labeled Johanus Franciscus Pressenda, is by Pierre Pacherel. Pacherel was one of Pressenda's collaborators and worked in Turin in the early-mid 1800s, having received much of his training in Mirecourt.

The violin we offer is a beautiful example of the maker's work, a Guarneri model with a striking red-brown varnish on a golden ground.
